In the future, you may be able to revoke sent messages

The popular messaging platform is said to be working on a new feature that lets users retract or edit delivered messages.

WABetaInfo recently tweeted pictures showing the new feature on an iPhone.

The feature, available on iOS 2.17.1.869 beat version, is disabled by default and must be enabled from the settings menu to work.

To use the feature, users simply need to tap and hold the message to reveal two new options.  A deleted message will appear as saying, “sender revoked this message” to the recipient. However, The feature only works if the recipient hasn’t read the message.

There is no official word on when the feature will be released.

The Facebook-owned messaging platform also rolled out a video call feature last month  and has been aggressively introducing new features and testing others of late.
